Does it take long to set up?
The system is very quick to set up by our operators as no time consuming cabling is required.
How can delegates make themselves known in a large conference environment?
Each delegate will log into the unit and register at the start of the event. Their name will then be displayed next to their message once the feedback has been received.
Is anonymity guaranteed?
Delegates have the choice of 'anonymous mode' if they wish - complete anonymity is guaranteed when this function is switched on.
What operating system does the system use?
The hand held units use Windows CE or Windows HPC. The Delegate Messaging Server uses Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
How many units are required?
We recommend to use 1 Delegate Messaging unit for up to 4 delegates, preferably in Cabaret or Classroom style seating. For the voting and question functions it is advisable to use 1 unit per person or a minimum of 1 unit between 2 people.
Can delegates correspond with each other?
Yes. The network allows for communications between the units should you choose to have this function switched on.
Can the audience see the comments during the event?
Yes, all messages can be projected onto the main screen in real time. These comments can be edited prior to being displayed, or presented as Powerpoint slides should you wish.
How will the results of the questions or voting options be displayed?
For question and voting functions, a pie or bar chart with the results can be projected onto the main screen. Replies to individual questions can be displayed as a Powerpoint slide. Answers can also be displayed as a report, with the option of sorting the results by correct answers.
Can delegates vote using the unit?
Yes, voting questions can be set prior to the event, and answered at given times throughout the event. Countdowns can also be set, and once finished, the results can be displayed as a bar or pie chart on the main screen.
